We started our day at the Grands Montets in Chamonix, we headed to the Col du Dolent (at the end of the Argentière Glacier).

We skied down on the italian side towards the Glacier de Pré de Bar and la Palud in Courmayeur...

Snow Report from the Vallée de Chamonix, Vallée Blanche,  Aiguille du Midi.

After three days of continue snow fall, 80 cm. fresh snow in  Envers du Plan, classical line...

27 December 2011: ski touring in Chamonix, first track in Col du Passon

Col du passon: a very classical tour in Chamonix, but always a privilege for the mountain guide to    be  the first of the season to open it.

 Hiking up to the col with snowshoes for   Alex... No tracks downhill: fabulous descent!

22 December 2011: two Chamonix mountain guides "open" the Vallee Blanche

Thursday  22 December : first track of the season  in the  Vallee Blanche, with my friend Yan Raulet mountain guide like me. No tracks, no one in the mountain, exceptionnal descent by le Petit Envers and the couloirs behind the Requin Hut.

Crevasses are globally full of snow , one meter fresh snow at 3500m.
