Chamonix-Zermatt

Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn, is THE classic raid on skis, is the "Haute-Route" par excellence who gave his name to our store in Paris, 33 Bd Henri IV.
 Linking the two historic capitals of climbing through mountain passes over 3000 meters, it deserves its reputation. In addition, the many possible variations of the route, make it attractive to the largest number of people, from beginner to the skier / mountaineer.

Program:

Day 1 : meeting at 11h in Argentière cable car to the Aiguille des Grands Montets (3297m), descent to the Argentiere glacier and climb up (1h) to the refuge Argentiere (2771m).

Day 2 : climb up (3h)to the  Col du Chardonnet, then (1h) to the Fenêtre de Saleina (3261m), descent from the plateau Trient, Col des  Ecandies Col (2796m) and a long descent through the Val d ' Arpette until the village of Champex (1466m), where you will have a comfortable night (showers) in the lake of Champex.

Day 3 : Transfer by minibus to the resort of Verbier, lifts up to 2700m and then skin up (1h) to the Col de la Chaux (2940m), then from the Col du Momin (3003m) climb (3h) to Rosablanche (3336m) and descent until the Prafleuri Hut (2624m).

Day 4 : climb up (30min) to the Col des Roux (2804m), descend to the Lac des Dix (2928m) and climb up (2h30) by the Pas du Chat until the Pas de Chevre (2855m) and descent to Arolla (2000m), a comfortable night at the Hotel de la Poste.

Day 5 : climb up (4h) to the Cabane des Bouquetins(2980m), unguarded.

Day 6 : climb (1h30) to the Col du Mont Brule (3213m), then (2h) to the Col de Valpeline (3568m) and finally superb descent to Zermatt along the North Face of Matterhorn.

Dates : every week from early march to half-may

Level : 2 - classical difficulties for this raid, offset by two comfortable nights at the hotels, accessible to beginners (ski touring) athletes, and good skiers with good fitness.

Price : 825 € / person (base of a guide for 4 participants).

    Including: - guiding and logistic by an experienced guide

                 - half-board in the huts

                 - lift and transfer as planned in the program
